About the land plot at `Aghioi of Karystos - Greece`

The land plot in question is an area of 200,000 m2 and is situated 16 km SE of the town of Karystos, at the heart of the Aegean sea. The plot has a very convenient slope to allow for residences with ample and unstoppable view over the Aegean.
The Area
Evia island is lying right aside Attica, and Karystos, the southernmost part of it is only 1,5 hour away from Athens through a ferry-boat transportation from Rafina.

Karystos is a splendid small country town situated in one of the most beautiful coves of Euboea. It constitutes a popular summer holiday destination which becomes even more interesting in the off-season.
It wonderfully blends modern town planning with classical architecture, magnificence with history. A stroll along the waterfront allows one to admire a wonderful, stately fortress bastion at the eastern edge of the port. One can also visit the archaeological museum of Karystos which shares the same building with the local library. Exhibited in an old mansion, the excellent folklore collections of Karystos provide a delightful image of traditional lifestyle. The monument of Castello Rosso (Red Castle) travels you back to the Middle Ages.
The wider region of Karystos is full of exquisite beaches lying along its coastline. Its leeward bays allow you to swim in the sea or just get lost in its contemplation, irrespective of weather conditions.
The Plot
According to the Greek laws, any 4,000 sq. m. piece of land can accommodate one house of an area of approximately 210 sq. m., or an equivalent block of four residences of 55 m2 (additional to an equal area built to be used as semi-basement). In an area of 200,000 sq. m., 50 or 200 equivalent residences can be built respectively. In case of an area larger than 150,000 m2, the owner can opt for applying a respective law that allows residence building with special terms, as long as the investor takes care of the necessary infrastructure. In this case, the minimum area required to build a residence of around 200 m2, is 1,000 m2. Therefore, a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 200 residences can be built in the said land plot.
